Welcome to ServiceQue (“ServiceQue,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Your privacy and trust are important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform — including our website, ServiceQue HQ (hq.serviceque.com), and the WhatsApp-based chatbot service (collectively, the “Platform”).

We collect only the information necessary to operate ServiceQue effectively and securely.
a. Information You Provide
When you register as a Service Provider (SP) or user:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Business Name & Category
- Business Description or Services Offered
- Password (stored as a secure hash, not in plain text)
We also collect your WhatsApp number (for communication between customers and your business via the chatbot).
b. Automatically Collected Data
When using ServiceQue or our website, we may automatically collect:
- Log data (browser type, IP address, device information)
- Date and time of access
- Usage metrics (e.g., pages viewed, actions taken in the dashboard)
This helps us improve performance, security, and reliability.
c. Communication Data
When you interact with us (e.g., support emails to info@serviceque.com), we may retain communication logs to respond to your inquiries and improve our support.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used strictly for operational and service purposes, including to:
- Create and verify accounts: Upon signup, we send a confirmation email from noreply@serviceque.com to verify your address. Once confirmed, we manually review your registration for approval.
- Provide access to ServiceQue HQ: After approval, you can log in and manage your dashboard, business profile, and bookings.
- Ensure security and integrity: We review listings and business details to prevent spam, fraud, and misuse. Passwords are encrypted and stored as hashes — we never see or store them in plain text.
- Send important updates: We may email you for essential notifications (account status, approvals, password resets, policy changes). We do not send marketing or promotional emails without consent.
- Support password recovery: If you forget your password, we send a secure password reset email.
- Maintain platform reliability: To monitor technical performance and protect against unauthorized access.
4. What We Don’t Do
We want to be transparent about what we never do:

- ❌ We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or personal data with third parties for marketing.
- ❌ We do not have access to your passwords or private messages.
- ❌ We do not use your customer data for advertising or analytics beyond improving our service.

- Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes (or equivalent).
- All communication with our servers uses SSL/TLS encryption.
- Access to administrative systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.

While we strive to use the strongest methods available, no online system is entirely risk-free. You are responsible for maintaining strong passwords and keeping them private.
6. Account Verification and Approval
After confirming your registration email:
- Our team reviews your application to ensure authenticity.
- If approved, you’ll receive an approval email with instructions to access your HQ dashboard.
- If denied, we may provide a reason or request additional information.
This step helps prevent spam accounts and ensure data security across the Platform.
7. Passwords and Authentication
We never know or see your password.
- You can change your password at any time from your HQ dashboard.
- Forgotten passwords can be reset via a secure link sent to your verified email.
- We strongly recommend using a unique, complex password for your account.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active or as required by law. If you delete your account, associated data will be securely removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except for information necessary for legal, security, or backup purposes.
9. Third-Party Services
ServiceQue may use third-party infrastructure (e.g., Netlify, Firebase, WhatsApp Business API) to deliver services. These providers process data under strict confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy standards.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party platforms such as WhatsApp. You are encouraged to review WhatsApp’s own Privacy Policy separately.
10. Data Review and Business Listing Verification
To maintain a safe and trusted environment:
- We may review listings and business profiles for authenticity.
- This process ensures that fake or misleading businesses are not displayed to customers.
- We do not modify or use your data for purposes beyond platform security and compliance.

You have the right to:
- Access or request a copy of your stored data.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Withdraw consent for data processing (where applicable).

ServiceQue is intended for individuals who are of legal decision-making age in Zimbabwe. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we discover that a minor has registered, we will delete their data promptly.
